Photographed during my deployment to Iraq. I’ve always been drawn to the physicality of military life. The weight of the gear, the exhaustion hidden beneath routine movement, the way the body slowly disappears underneath equipment and responsibility. Looking back, this image feels less about action and more about burden. Not just what was carried on the back, but what followed people home afterward.
