Permanence

I love that a camera gives ordinary life a sense of permanence. It turns routine drives, late nights, and in-between moments into something worth remembering. Photography isn’t just about creating images; it’s about staying connected to curiosity, observation, and the feeling that even the smallest moments matter.

Ventura Fair 2018.

A single frame freezes a passing moment and gives it permanence, allowing something temporary to continue existing long after the moment has passed. The astronaut becomes a symbol of observation, solitude, and the quiet human desire to hold onto something before it disappears.
